Cloth Road Arts Week + Workshops

My next exhibition of the year is the Cloth Road Arts Week which runs from Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 May. The arts week is 9 days of open studios and exhibitions with a chance for you to meet the artists and talk to them about their work. Wandering around the trail is a lovely way to spend a day and it you treat yourself to a piece of art it will be that much more special for buying direct from the artist rather than anonymously through a shop.

I will be exhibiting at The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham for the full 9 days. The Pound is open 10am – 9pm each day (10-4 on Sunday and Monday bank hol) and I will be there the majority of the time. You’re very welcome to come and have a look at my work and have a chat. There’s a lovely cafe there where you can have tea, coffee and cake!

If you’d like to specifically talk to me about a commission do contact me in advance just to double check I will be there at the time/day you’re planning on visiting.

Myself and my good friend Breige King will also be running ring making workshops during the week so this is your chance to have a go! You will learn some basic silversmithing skills, including forming, filing, hammering/texturing and polishing and will end up with a ring that looks like this!

You will also have the chance to personalise your ring by stamping your initials on the inside of the band.

The workshop is only £35 and will take up to 2 hours, including half an hour for your ring to be tumble polished while you celebrate a job well done in the cafe.

Please contact me to book a place or if you’re nearby come and see us to reserve your place. Space is limited so get in there quick!
